L40S breaks through, Hopper stays scarce

The Ada inference card clears the data floor for the first time this month, while genuine Hopper supply is still too thin to publish a number.

What the market is doing

This month's refresh adds new observations concentrated on the SKUs where data was thinnest. The clearest result: the L40S clears the publish floor for the first time, in both refurbished and used condition, after sitting on too few observations in June. Genuine H100 supply, in both PCIe and NVL form factors, is still too thin to publish a real number: the search for fresh, citable listings kept turning up range commentary rather than specific transactions, which is itself a signal that documented Hopper inventory in the secondary channel stays scarce. The eight SKUs that already published in June are unchanged this month; their next real move will come from new observations, not from time passing.

What stood out this month

The signal behind the numbers. The full table and the by-generation read sit in the report below.

01 /

L40S clears the floor in two conditions at once

The L40S now publishes a refurbished central of $7,999 and a used central of $6,800, a $1,199 documented-condition premium consistent with the pattern seen across the rest of the catalog: tested, represented units command more than unknown-history stock.

02 /

Hopper stays the scarcest, most scrutinized tier

H100 PCIe and H100 NVL remain below the publish floor. That is not for lack of looking: this month's research pass found plenty of aggregate price-range commentary on Hopper but few citable individual dealer listings, reinforcing the June finding that authentic Hopper supply holds a firm floor and sits apart from the rest of the market.

03 /

Eight SKUs, zero change

RTX 6000 Ada, L4, RTX 4090, A40, A100 40GB, RTX A6000, A30, and RTX 3090 all carry the exact same central price as June, because no new observations landed against them this month. That is the honest state of a monthly cadence still running on public-listing data alone: real movement needs real new data, not just a new calendar month.
